Fall Style

One thing I love about fall is the ability to mix, match, and layer creatively. The weather is perfect for fashion experimentation. And this fall, for me, it’s about discovering your personal style and embracing it. Gone are the days of following trends like a sheep and now it’s about being you! So I’m gonna keep this short and say, “Rock it your way because these are the days to remember and remember them as you, not someone your not”. Hope ‘thats not to Christmas cheer!even though it’s not Christmas)

Man’s Advice

I got this bit of advice from one of my male friends today and I thought I’d put in on cause he’s always complaining about this blog (men eh?). He said to me “Any girl should really invest in a good bra rather that pretty make-up because that’s not where our eyes go anyway.” Seriously? Whatevs. But i do agree that if your wearing a crap ass bra guys will see your uni-boob, or 4 boobs and freak out. But girls, guys don’t always care about breasts. Studies show that men choose women with varying cup size. But all the women the men chose as most attractive had one common factor: A waist to hip ratio of .7. This ratio actually signifies increased fertility in women. Men have a similar ratio of shoulders to waist. It’s .9 or a body that looks like this: \/ (the wide part is the shoulders and the skinny the waist). This signifies increased testosterone levels which causes higher fertility. What’s my point here? Guys don’t care about your make-up. They don’t care about your cup size  (much). What they care about is a healthy woman, and really that’s best for everyone.

Must Have 4 Fall

One of my must-have items for fall would have to be the bomber jacket. For those who aren’t exactly sure what a bomber jacket is, it’s a casual jacket that has an elastic band around the hips. If you search a pic on the net you’ll see why I love them. Next I’m looking forward to wearing all my scarves to school. I like that they can punch up any outfit and add some extra personality. I recently picked up a pair of wide leg jeans and I’m totally digging them. Nothing as classy and sassy on the market. Finally i plan to pick up some statement necklaces for back to school to add a lil extra sumthin sumthin to my wardrobe. Hope this help y’all out for fall, xoxo -M

Cosmopolitan

Ok call me weird but I love the cosmo site. And no i’m not a sex fanatic but theres craplaods of good info abotu realtionships, hair, make-up and other fab stuff. Plus the games rock. Sculpted Cheeks

Sculpted cheeks are so in right now it’s scary. And although some things from the 80’s should be left in the 80’s I’m ready to welcome this trend back. First find your cheekbones. you can do this by tilting your head, or just turning your head until you see your cheekbones (they’ll look light) and the hollows(they’ll appear darker). Apply a darker colour of blush to the hollows and a lighter colour to the bones (you can also usea light pressed powder or highlighting powder for the bones). then using a blush brush blend the 2 colours together. to actually apply the powder I suggest a eyeshadow brush to give maximum precision. A good blush is Rimmels Cheeky Blush in ‘Play It Safe’. Play around, cause in the end it’s all about having fun!

The Fab 4: Signs he digs you

I like to call them the Fab 4: the 4 signs that tell you he likes you (your not in a relationship. there are signs for that but I’ll talk aboutthose another time. After all who wouldn’t want to be able to catch the signs he’s subconsciously sending you? So memorize these signs girls; you’ll easily tell who’s into you and who’s not.

1. The eyebrow flash. If he flashes his eyebrows at you it’s a sign he likes you. Scientists say that the eyebrow raise and fall so fast it’s usually not noticed. So be perceptive and watch for the flash.

2. Chest direction. It doesn’t matter what it is in the room, whatever is most important to the guy, he directs his chest at. It could be a video game or one of his buddy’s but here’s hoping it’s you. It’s pointing to you? He’s probably attracted to you.

3. Pelvic stance. Men usually stand with their legs spread and their pelvis pointed towards a girl they like. Don’t know why they just do.

4. Belt touch.  If a guy is resting his hands on his belt or hanging his fingers out of the belt loops it’s a sign he totally digs you. It’s an extremely primal action. Let’s just say he’s subconsciously directions you to his, ahhh….assets.

Girls, with this info rolling around in your head your sure to be able to reconize the signs he likes you. Use this info well and take the male population by storm.

Lip Stain

A current trend I like is pink lip stain. Nude lips are out and it’s time for a little more fun with our lips. Now here’s a tip a stain is a much more natural way to colour your lips because it gradually builds up the colour. Here’s how to apply. Squeeze some gloss from the tube on to the back of your hand so you have a small dollop. Then either using your finger or a lip brush dab small amounts onto your lips so you have a light coat of gloss. Let this dry somewhat then continue building up until your lips look like glass. But if you like to be a little more daring, try an orange gloss. Not only does it look fab, it’ll set you apart from the other girls in a good way. Try CoverGirls wetslicks fruit spritzers in tangerine splash (orange) or guava splash (pink) around 7 bucks at shoppers drug mart.

Introduction

Body language is an important part to any relationship. And if you aren’t in one, it can tell you if he’s into you and let you subtly tell him your into him. Little movements like eyebrows rising quickly or the way he stands around you can tell you if thinks of you as a friend, or more than. And little things that you do like biting your lip or looking aafter making eye contact can let him know you dig him. All of these small movements mean little or nothing if you don’t know what they mean. So sit back and enjoy the ride as I educate you on Body Language.

New Blog

Okay so my blog was really boring and I got inspired by St Claires Falls (www.stclairefalls.com) to change it. See I went on cause I heard it was really good and this girl Lidsey has a blog and I read it and loved the idea behind it. Basically she just talks about what’s currently hot but I’m putting a twist on it. I’m adding in some love advice like decoding body language etc. Hope you love the new idea!!
